You can’t think your way through a breath session. Somatic Breathing initiates a physiological and energetic state of inspiration that causes a shift of consciousness transcending normal mind-body function and response. The breath follows awareness and awareness follows breath. The movement of the human respiratory system acts like an energy-awareness pump in the body. It’s as if you are saying with each breath, “Here, Now… Here, Now…” Somatic Breathing inspires a process within which wherever you focus awareness in the body, breath energy will follow; and wherever you focus breath energy in the body, awareness will follow.
In this workshop, you will explore breath awareness, body awareness, and heart-centred sharing. You will be learning and practicing different breathing techniques to use in the moment and your daily life. This workshop will be a small, intimate group, set in a safe and supportive environment to help you tap into your inner healer. Jessica discovered Theraputic breathwork in 2015 and immediatly become inspired to learn and experience more of this healing practiace and share it with others. Therapeutic breathwork helps people tap into their own inner healer and supports growing positive healthy individuals, relationships and communities.
Jessica completed both Somatic Breath Practitioner and Coaching certifications with The Power of Breath Institute in New Hampshire during 2016 and 2017. She has been practicing massage therapy since 2011 and takes a whole body therapeutic approach to her practice by developing and managing a treatment plan that is tailored to each individual’s needs, drawing from her diverse skill set including myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, cranial sacral therapy, visceral manipulation, breathwork and yoga Therapy.
Jessica graduated from The Vancouver College of Massage Therapy 3000 hr program in Vancouver BC. She also completed a 200hr yoga teacher training during 2015 with prohealth yoga located in New West Minister BC.
